Yes it seems that the trend these days is to always do a twist on something that has already been done, ie. change up a classic. In some cases it’s a really good idea not to mess with a classic, in others its okay. I don’t mind mixing up a daiquiri, the original is a wonderful base cocktail that can benefit from a little added flavor, but don’t go too crazy.
So we get our main recipe back from the traditional daiquiri.
Half light rum, half sour mix.
Easy enough add a splash of blackberry liqueur.
Garnish with your favorite drunken fruit, in this case Blackberries.
When you are doing these subtle flavor ad-ins and we mention any type of a liqueur its almost always a brandy, if at all possible make sure that it’s a high quality all natural brandy, not the sugar added stuff.
